1. Nature of DJ.COMMUNITY

DJ.COMMUNITY is a non-profit, community-driven platform provided free of charge. The platform facilitates connections, communication, and collaboration within the global DJ community. We operate on a voluntary basis and do not charge fees for core platform services.

As a free, community-driven service, DJ.COMMUNITY operates with limited resources. While we strive to maintain a high-quality platform and enforce our community guidelines, we cannot guarantee perfection, continuous availability, or comprehensive moderation of all content.

2. Booking System Disclaimer

This is one of the most critical disclaimers for our platform. It is essential that you understand the limitations and responsibilities associated with using DJ.COMMUNITY's booking and connection tools.

2.1 DJ.COMMUNITY is a Matchmaking Platform, Not a Booking Company

DJ.COMMUNITY is not a booking agency, talent agency, or event management company. We provide tools to help DJs and event organizers find and connect with each other. We do not manage, facilitate, or participate in the actual booking agreements, contracts, or transactions between users.

2.2 Direct User Agreements

All booking arrangements are between DJs and clients directly. DJ.COMMUNITY is not a party to any booking contract or agreement. Any terms, conditions, rates, cancellation policies, or other arrangements are negotiated solely between the DJ and the client. DJ.COMMUNITY has no involvement in these private agreements.

2.3 No Payment Processing or Financial Involvement

DJ.COMMUNITY does not process, handle, transfer, or facilitate any payments between DJs and clients. All payments are arranged directly between the parties. The manual payment logging feature on our platform is for your personal record-keeping only and is not verified or guaranteed by DJ.COMMUNITY. We have absolutely no involvement in payment arrangements, disputes, or financial transactions.

2.4 No DJ Performance Guarantees

DJ.COMMUNITY provides no guarantee regarding:

  • The quality or professionalism of DJ services
  • The conduct or punctuality of DJs
  • The skill level, experience, or equipment quality of any DJ
  • That a DJ will arrive for a booking
  • That a DJ will perform the services agreed upon
  • Any aspect of DJ performance or delivery

You are solely responsible for vetting DJs, assessing their suitability for your event, and conducting your own due diligence.

2.5 No Booking Fulfillment Guarantees

DJ.COMMUNITY makes no guarantee that:

  • Any booking will be completed or honored
  • A DJ will accept a booking request
  • A client will pay the agreed-upon amount
  • A booking will result in the expected outcome
  • Any party will meet their obligations

2.6 No Responsibility for Disputes

DJ.COMMUNITY is not responsible for mediating, resolving, or becoming involved in disputes between DJs and clients. Such disputes must be resolved directly between the parties through private negotiation, contracts, or legal channels. We provide tools for documentation (contracts, messages, payment logs) for your benefit, but these do not constitute platform involvement in your disputes.

2.7 User Responsibility

Users are solely and exclusively responsible for:

  • Negotiating and creating their own contracts and booking agreements
  • Obtaining appropriate insurance and legal coverage
  • Ensuring compliance with all applicable laws and regulations
  • Conducting due diligence on other users
  • Managing all aspects of payment arrangements
  • Resolving any disputes through appropriate legal or private channels

2.8 "Use at Your Own Risk"

You use DJ.COMMUNITY's booking tools at your own risk. You acknowledge and agree that:

  • You have read and understood this disclaimer
  • You understand that DJ.COMMUNITY provides no guarantees or warranties regarding bookings
  • You accept full responsibility for any bookings you make or receive through the platform
  • You will resolve any issues directly with other users or through legal channels

3. User-Generated Content Disclaimer

DJ.COMMUNITY hosts user-generated content including DJ profiles, forum posts, blog articles, and event listings. Important disclaimers about this content:

3.1 We Do Not Verify Content

DJ.COMMUNITY does not verify, validate, or guarantee the accuracy of any user-generated content. This includes:

  • DJ profile information (experience, rates, availability, equipment)
  • DJ qualifications, awards, or achievements
  • Event information (dates, times, locations, details)
  • Venue information (capacity, amenities, contact details)
  • DJ reputation scores, reviews, and ratings
  • Check-in records and payment confirmations

All information displayed on user profiles and in user-generated content is provided by the users themselves and should be independently verified.

3.2 No Accuracy Guarantees

DJ.COMMUNITY makes no representations or warranties about:

  • The accuracy, completeness, or reliability of any information on the platform
  • The truthfulness of user-generated content
  • The legitimacy of user profiles or claimed credentials

You are entirely responsible for independently verifying any information before making decisions based on it.

3.3 Reputation System Disclaimer

The reputation system, including scores, badges, reviews, and ratings, is based entirely on user-reported data. DJ.COMMUNITY does not:

  • Verify the accuracy of reviews or ratings
  • Guarantee the reliability of reputation scores
  • Ensure that ratings are from legitimate completed bookings
  • Prevent fake or fraudulent reviews

Reputation scores should be used as one factor among many when evaluating other users, but should not be relied upon as the sole basis for decision-making.
