Stefano Cesca, also known as Stefano Masterfunk, was born in Switzerland, where he spent most of his childhood. His affinity for music became apparent early on. Initially influenced by the rock and breakdance wave, as well as the synth-pop of the 80s, Stefano's first experience with house music came in 1988. Highly inspired and captivated by the groovy sound of internationally renowned DJs like Frankie Knockles and Todd Terry, Stefano could be found more and more frequently in record stores. At the tender age of 13, he bought two turntables and a mixer with his own savings. This marked the beginning of DJ Stefano Masterfunk's career! While still in school, he organized his own parties, where he could showcase his talent and keep students from his neighborhood and the surrounding towns and villages dancing until the early hours of the morning. When the techno wave hit Switzerland in the early 1990s, he was swept up in it and completely captivated. He regularly frequented various clubs and parties in German-speaking Switzerland and abroad, getting to know many people in the scene. However, Stefano Masterfunk always remained in the background, focusing on producing mixtapes which he shared with friends, acquaintances, and DJs. Many years have passed since then, and his passion for electronic music has only grown stronger. His style ranges from house, deep house, and soulful house to nu disco and afro house, among others.
